Everything was like in one of these bad b-movies: Ed rode his bike on a long, straight and dusty highway. The rags of his leatherjacket blew in the wind and the unbearable heat really hit him. Not only his bikes tank, but also his throat nearly dried out. But he enjoyed his freedom and nothing could stop him. What he needed now was a cold beer and so he looked out for a bar. After a few lonely miles, a run down saloon appeared on the horizon, which flickered through the hot desert sand. As he came closer, he could read the neon sign: Zed´s Bar.
After he parked his bike next to the others, he stepped into the smoked filled room with a dark expressions in his eyes. The air was stale and only the barkeeper recognized him. The two guys at the pool table couldn´t hide their indian origins and the others at the bar probably only were passing through. Ed ordered a cold lager, which Zed slammed on the bar. The Jukebox yodeled a song of a country band. Ed felt that his guts began to wind, so he stood up and went straight to the music box. But he had to realize that the selection wasn´t too big. Wait, there was one name he hardly could oversee: DELIRIUM TREMENS. He grabbed a quarter, put it into the Jukebox and selected a song of the album THE SOUND OF WHITE MICE. As the yodeling of the country song faded out and Ed swallowed the first half of his beer one could hear the short rattling of the Jukebox and suddenly there came life into the smoky bar. The sound that came through the speakers was so infectious that even the barkeeper swinged his foot with the rhythm. The hard sound of the guitars, combined with great melodies and a rough voice made everybody bang their heads to the groove of the music. Ed thought by himself - that´s good modern Metal - and asked the barkeeper who they were. He told him that DT were his four friends from Austria and pointed on a picture that hung over the bar. A band from Vienna that play together since 1994 and played live in different places. Ed and the other guys were really enthusiastic, but he had to hit the road again. As it came to the last riffs of the song, Ed payed the beer and poured the last drops of the bottle into his throat. Still with the groove in his mind he jumped on the bike and rode on - westwards.
